Meet Dr Lee Cummings

B.Sc.(Clin. Sc) M.H.Sc.(Osteo)

Osteopathy has been a life-changing career for me.

I had a sudden moment of inspiration when I was in the garden, at 32 years of age. My cycling Husband had been to Osteopaths for treatment in the past for his many injuries in crashes and we were living in New Zealand at the time. Dan fully supported my dream and 5 months later after completing year 12 Chemistry, selling cars and a house, we moved from NZ to Australia with our daughters. I was accepted into the Osteo course as a mature -aged student, where I spent 5 years at Victoria University.

Now I have been in practice 19 years and thoroughly enjoy seeing all my patients achieving better health through our holistic approach to their individual body’s requirements.

We see a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, acute and chronic, young and elderly, pregnancy and sports injuries, each treatment is tailored to suit the individual person. During the treatment, we will prescribe general stretches, exercises and other lifestyle and postural advice.

Osteopaths are looking at you in a very holistic way, trying to address the causes of the symptoms, thus enabling you to take an active part in your own healing and health. We help facilitate your own bodies self -healing capabilities and give a full comprehensive explanation about your pain and injuries.

When you have a treatment with an Osteopath we develop a working relationship, which allows us to help you in a more complete manner. We take the time to listen to your issues, to discuss and reassure you.

In my free time, I’m out bike riding, walking and camping in any bush setting, I also like exploring Melbourne’s different cultural activities, art galleries, and food, with family and friends.
